This was shared on my FB and I decided to share
it over here according the report a mother giving birth alone on a lawn at the
entrance of a hospital because she was denied access. The woman you see
above suffered and cry for help she was photographed by a
passer by and the picture is now around the world.
The controversy is currently shaking Mexico
because of this photograph raising issues about the accessibility of healthcare
for ethnic minorities. A vintage photograph published in a daily "La
Razon" and scandal since its publication.
The reactions have multiplied in solidarity
with this mother of 29, kicked out of the medical center of Oaxaca, a nurse as
she was about to put her child into the world.
While her poor husband tried to persuade the
nurse at the severity of the condition of his wife, the young Irma Lopez gave
birth to a hundred meters to give birth to her third child. "I did
not give birth like that. It was so ugly and extremely painful" has she
told The Associated Press who interviewed after this incident became a national
matter.
Following this case, the Oaxaca government has
also announced the suspension of the director of the medical center, and
launched an investigation within the institution in question to know who gave
the order to prohibit this modest couple of mountains north of the state for
care.
