Pregnant women, nursing mothers and Post graduate students have been barred from participating in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.

 According to THIS DAY, NYSC DG, Brig-Gen. Johnson Olawumi, said the exemption of people in these categories from service was because they would not be able to undergo the four cardinal programmes of the NYSC, which is mobilisation, orientation, primary assignment and winding-up passing out parade.

"Measures on our border with Syria... will be increased," he added. The Federation of Socialist Youth Associations (SGDF) is reported to have had at least 300 members staying at the Amara Culture Centre in Suruc, where the explosion happened.

South Africa Government Brought Back seized $15 million to Nigerian government

Amazing  $1 million reward has been offered by an anonymous donor for credible information leading to the pair of Judy Garland’s famous sequined, ruby red slippers stolen from a museum in her Minnesota hometown.

Garland wore the slippers in “The Wizard of Oz.” There are only three other pairs that still exist, including one on display at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington.

John Kelsch, executive director of the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, says the donor is from Arizona and is a big fan of Garland and the 1939 film.

Boko Haram Releases Joint Video With ISIS and Declared highway linking Maiduguri and Damaturu

Boko Haram have taken over the highway linking Maiduguri and Damaturu, Premium Times reports.

The two cities are the capitals of Borno and Yobe states respectively.

The information was gotten from a police officer stationed in one of the villages along the highway.

Travellers are reportedly being told to turn back as the terrorists have taken over the road between Benisheik and Ngamdu.

The officer was quoted to have said that the terrorists attacked Ngamdu village and killed 10 persons there.
